Volunteer Opportunities

  • Naturalization Workshop Volunteer: Join our immigration legal team and help us assist community members as they navigate the naturalization process! Your role may involve setting up and breaking down events, welcoming community members with a smile, aiding with applications and paperwork, offering translation support, and other tasks as needed. Workshops take place exclusively on Saturdays. Don't miss out—fill out our volunteer application to join us at our next event! Mus be bi-lingual ( English and Spanish)

  • Event Volunteer - General :  Join our organizing team and help us assist community members as they navigate resources. You may participate and support at house meetings and during workshop events for the Food and Farm Worker Relief Program (FFWR).  Your role may involve setting up and breaking down events, welcoming community members with a smile, aiding with applications and paperwork, offering translation support, and other tasks as needed.

Internship and Fellowship Program

We are excited to offer internship and fellowship opportunities. Internships are currently unpaid; however, we are happy to complete any paperwork to assist with academic credit, field placement, and outside funding. Individuals interested in having us host them for national and/or law school fellowships should contact Jacqueline Sernas at [email protected]

  • Administrative Support Intern: The Administrative Support Intern will provide essential support to our immigration legal team in delivering  legal services to our clients. This role encompasses both administrative tasks and front office support, contributing to the smooth operation of our office. For full description and requirements, click here

  • Legal Intern (Law School Students Only): The UFW Foundation Legal Intern will work with attorneys and DOJ accredited representatives on immigration affirmative and removal defense cases, complex research, and have the opportunity to develop a case. The Legal Intern will also participate in advocacy efforts, including outreach and education events. We are accepting applications for Summer. For full description and requirements, click here.
