Washington, D.C. — Today, UFW Foundation welcomed the re-introduction of the Dream and Promise Act of 2025 in the House of Representatives by Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX) and a bipartisan group of House sponsors. This legislation would create a pathway to citizenship for certain DACA recipients, immigrant youth, and some individuals with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) or Deferred Enforced Departure (DED). 

Erica Lomeli Corcoran, UFW Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, said: 

“The Dream and Promise Act is a common-sense solution that would deliver long-overdue relief to millions of undocumented individuals who consider this country their home and have not only pursued their dreams and goals, but have invested back into our nation. With recent immigration raids and deportation threats terrorizing immigrant communities, members of Congress have a decision to make. Will they rise up against injustice, or will they remain silent while our neighbors suffer in the shadows? The choice is up to Congress, which has the power to make a difference. We urge all members to act and stand up for the values that define our nation, and to provide a pathway to citizenship for those who have known no other home.”
