Supreme Court Ruling Blocks Citizenship Question from 2020 Census

Supreme Court Ruling Blocks Citizenship Question
from 2020 Census
United Farm Workers Foundation Executive Director Diana Tellefson Torres issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to put a question about citizenship on the 2020 census:
“The Supreme Court’s ruling today is a victory for the accurate representation of our communities. Allowing a citizenship question on the 2020 census would have stripped resources and a good quality of life for many.
The UFW Foundation commends the Court’s ruling for prohibiting the Administration’s racially-driven attempt to silence communities of color. Moving forward, we must continue to be vigilant to ensure every single person is counted because they matter.”
