MORGAN HILL—A second vaccination event protecting more than 1,000 farm workers will take place tomorrow Wednesday, March 3rd, at the Monterey Mushrooms facility in Morgan Hill. These vaccination events result from a partnership between the UFW Foundation, United Farm Workers, Monterey Mushrooms and the County of Santa Clara. It could serve as a model for collaboration in other regions of the state. Monterey Mushrooms is a unionized company. But among the workers to receive the vaccine will be employees from other area farms.

The first vaccination event for 506 workers at the Monterey Mushrooms worksite took place Sunday, February 28, 2021.

Representatives from Monterey Mushrooms, the UFW and the UFW Foundation will be available. Media will have the potential opportunity to capture footage of vaccinations dependent on patient consent.
