This month we continue to celebrate the contributions and legacy of farm labor and civil rights leader, Cesar Chavez, whose sacrifice and leadership inspired generations of activists and leaders.
In our efforts to continue Cesar’s vision, the UFW Foundation has distributed $23 million in pandemic relief financial assistance for farm workers & low income-immigrants in California, Oregon, and Washington State over the past two years. We have gone on to distribute more than 400,000 meals and food boxes, over 41,000 covid vaccines and 2 million cloth, surgical and KN95 masks to rural farm worker communities across California, Oregon, Michigan, and Washington state.
