500 farm workers get COVID-19 vaccine at Ventura County
Some 500 Ventura County farm workers will receive the COVID-19 vaccine between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 7 at the UFW Foundation’s office in Oxnard. Media will have the opportunity to observe and shoot vaccinations and interview workers with patients’ consent.
The first vaccination event for more than 120 farm workers took place Tuesday, March 2 at Muranaka Farm, Inc. near Moorpark. It was the result from a partnership between the United Farm Workers, UFW Foundation, the unionized Muranaka Farm Inc. and Ventura County Department of Public Health.
