Today, Congress Members Lucille Roybal-Allard, Nydia Velázquez and Yvette Clarke introduced H.R. 6, the Dream and Promise Act—a pathway to citizenship for more than two million people including Dreamers and beneficiaries of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforcement Departure (DED) programs.

UFW Foundation Executive Director Diana Tellefson Torres issued the following statement:

“The UFW Foundation supports the permanent solution to protect DACA, TPS, and DED recipients who are in constant risk because of actions by the Trump Administration. The Dream and Promise Act preserves the safety of our friends, family, and neighbors without anti-immigrant add-ons that put our communities in further danger and Congress must pass it as soon as possible. The vast majority of Americans agree on the importance of keeping families together, and this bill is vital to that vision. We are filled with gratitude for the outstanding commitment of Representatives Roybal-Allard, Velázquez, and Clarke to protect immigrants whose protections were stripped away by the Administration without remorse.”
